Frequently Asked Questions

What is your make up speciality and area of expertise?

Having trained at one of London’s most prestigious make up schools (Delamar Academy) and working at MAC Cosmetics for over 5 years, I have had the opportunity to learn from some of the best make up artists in the industry working in high fashion, TV, film, theatre, red carpet and Special Effects Makeup. I am able to adapt depending on my client’s needs and wants. My general style of make up is natural, youthful and fresh. Allowing skin to still look like skin but be even and polished. I understand that my clients know their face intimately and may like certain elements of their make up in a specific way that’s unique to them. I always start my introduction finding out what my client likes and dislikes are and work together to create make up they feel confident and beautiful in.

What events do you provide make up for?

I am available for all special occasions or even just for a night out where you want some extra glam. I am also trained in male grooming.

What products do you use?

I have a large range of brands and products in my kit that I have tried and tested so I know how they react with different skin types. A large portion of my kit is MAC Cosmetics but I also carry Charlotte Tilbury, Ben Nye, Mehron, Morphe, Nars, Elf, Giorgio Armani, Glossier, Tatti Lashes, Urban Decay, Made by Mitchel and more.

How far in advance do I have to book?

My bridal bookings require advance booking, I would recommend six to 12 months in advance as especially in peak bridal season as space gets booked up quickly. However, it’s always worth messaging me to find out availability as last minute requests can sometimes be accommodated.

Do you travel to me?

Yes, I am a mobile make up artist. I currently do not have a studio so all bookings will be at your preferred location.

What is the booking process?

Once the date, time and price has been confirmed I will ask you to sign a contract and fill out a questionnaire answering relevant questions to carry out the make up.

How do I pay?

An invoice will be sent to your preferred method of communication. The client scheduling the booking will be responsible for full payment of all services in the event that other people in the wedding/event party/group do not pay their portion. Clients are responsible to pay in full no later than 14 days after the event. Failure to pay within this time will incur a 5% increase. A subsequent 5% increase will be applied per month. Please see full terms and conditions below.

What happens during a bridal make up trial?

I will look through your questionnaire before the trial and discuss this with you. I will reconfirm of any skin irritations or known allergies before starting the make up. We will discuss through the elements of make up while I work to ensure you are happy. I will write down the products I use and take reference photos so that on the day of the wedding we know exactly how you would like your make up. Of course if you wish to change anything between the time of the trial and the wedding day this can be arranged. Trials can take anywhere from 1 hour to 2.5 hours. Additional trials can be booked.

How do I need to prepare for my booking?

Please make sure to designate an area for me to set up, ideally with good natural light near a window. I will bring my make up chair with has a small side table but an additional table is always helpful if possible. I also have a light which can help when natural light is not possible. Ideally come with a fresh face but if this is not possible it’s not a problem.

Do you offer lashes?

Yes, I have a range of strip lashes, cluster lashes and individual lashes. I mainly stock Tatti Lashes in my kit. I have latex and latex-free glue.

What should I expect on the day of my event?

I will arrive at our agreed time at your preferred location. I always allow 10 minutes to set up before starting my first client. For bridal parties starting very early in the morning I will try my best to offer touch ups of lipstick and powder before I leave if necessary.

Do you do hair?

I do not offer hair as part of my service however I have had basic training in hairstyling and grooming. Therefore I am able to support with making sure hair is in place for photos and video if necessary but I do not carry a hair kit unless discussed and agreed beforehand.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please contact me as soon as possible to let me know about a cancellation and whether you would like to rebook your appointment and I will try my best to rebook this for you.

How long does it take to do each make up service?

This does depend on the look you wish me to create but looks range from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
